This is a home near Dexter, New Mexico that belonged to the Wheaton family. Based on the auto in the picture, it was probably taken early in the 20th century. It was a large, impressive home for the era and it remained standing in the 1960s. At the time it was a VFW hall or Elks Club. It was built near a large lake and Jim Wheaton planted rows of trees along each side of the road leading to the house.
