Brands
My father, James Perry McCall, was a brand inspector for the New Mexico Cattle Sanitary
Board from the 1930s until his death in 1958 in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico. I have
his brand books for 1934 and 1941. They contain many old New Mexico brands along with their
placement on horses and cattle, the owners' names and locations. I will be happy to look up
brands for researchers on the Chaves County Web page.
